What is the IC:OOC day ratio?

Roughly 1:3. We don't expect it to be consistent.

Is there a cap on characters?

Currently, there are no caps in this game. There is no cap on number of characters, nor number of demigods or pawns, nor how many characters can join a following. These things can change in play according to IC decisions, and we don't want to block off any paths. Sometimes we could have app windows where we allow apps only from pawns or only from demigods, if we feel it's necessary to balance out the game.

What happens if a character dies?

They die.

There are a number of powers available to characters (as well as canon powers, potentially) that may allow them to avoid or reverse death. However, without intervention from another player character or their own power to fall back on, a character who dies will just die. This is a possible drop method.

Any powers related to souls and the like can be presumed to work in Paraprima.

Can a pawn with split personalities/bodyshare be affiliated to different gods?

Yes. In this case, each personality must provide discord for each of their gods, and each can only access their own god's powers and temple. For example, if Personality #1 is a follower of Flegmat, and Personality #2 is a follower of Spiritus, they can only enter Flegmat's temple when Personality #1 is in control. (They don't get kicked out if they switch, Personality #2 is just treated as a guest brought in by Personality #1.) Furthermore, passive powers do not remain in effect while the other personality is in control–so if Personality #1 has inflicted a 'need' on another character with Flegmat's powers, it will go away when Personality #2 takes control, and Personality #1 will have to inflict it all over again when they come back out.

Activity requirements will also look a little bit different for split personality cases that want to split god affiliation:

AC for split personality pawns:
• 1 thread involving #1 god’s favored discord
• 1 thread involving #2 god’s favored discord
• (and so on… if more personalities follow more gods)

Bonus AC:
• An additional thread for each god involving the god’s favored discord. (so 4 threads total for 2 personalities)

Are there any animals in Paraprima besides the Messengers?

There are no animals native to the city itself, but player characters can bring in their own animals through favors granted by demigods. For the player’s sake, and for the sake of the mods, these animals are not to be harmed in any way. Simply do not.

If characters are not allowed to hunt or kill animals, what can they eat?

There are multiple ways to obtain food, including meat, in Paraprima.
• The stockpile of preserved foods in the Tower.
• Certain blessings obtained by followers, such as Corpus’ conjunction or Melanc’s separation.
• Demigod favors for already prepared food and/or meat.
• Rewards from AC
• Rewards from minigames

Can unaffiliated pawns become demigods?

Yes. Imbuing godflesh does not correlate with being a follower of a god, nor does it cause a pawn to become affiliated with the god whose flesh they’ve imbued. Rather, they become their own kind of independent mini-god.

When a follower becomes a demigod, are they still affiliated with their god?

A follower remains a follower as a demigod only if they attain demigodhood through their god's blessing. Because demigods are able to sustain themselves and gather discord on their own, they no longer have to rely on the gods to maintain themselves. In fact, in a way they are now at-odds with the gods as they are essentially competing for resources (discord and godflesh). Thus, a follower who reaches demigodhood through other means, such as provoking the gods to shed their flesh, will no longer be considered a follower and can no longer access their former god's temple. (They will retain any powers or other blessings they gained as a follower.)

On the other hand, a demigod who was blessed with their demigodhood remains a follower; they retain their access to the temple, and they are still expected to feed their god. Though a demigod is always free to break off from their god.

If a demigod breaks up with their god, can they choose to follow another god?

They can, but they won’t necessarily benefit from it. Choosing to follow another god entirely will strip them of whatever power blessings a previous god gave them. In addition, they won’t be able to gain more blessings from the new god. Demigods are on a completely different skill tree, and even if they follow a god, the god will no longer give them blessings of any kind. Nevertheless, just like pawns, a demigod can freely pledge to any god they want (including a god they were with previously) and gain temple access in exchange for that god's discord AC requirement.

What if I want powers from another god but my character’s already a demigod?

There are two options.
1. Gain power as a demigod by obtaining and imbuing godflesh. You can just copy-paste any power from an existing god’s power list.
2. Lose the demigodhood and become a pawn again, then follow the new god and start from the beginning.

Can demigods participate in minigames?

Demigods can participate in all minigames. If they participate in another demigod's minigame (medium or heavy), they can siphon off enough discord for an extra material reward for themself.

They can also participate in their own minigames, in whatever capacity they want.

If a character is being held captive in another character’s shrine, what happens when the captor drops?

If the captor drops and plans to come back the captive can remain in the shrine or be released depending on the players.

If the captor wishes to drop permanently but the captive wants to remain on hiatus then the shrine can simply remain on residual power until the captive returns.
